One of the must-visits for me in Taipei was Fu Hang Soy Milk. I was really curious how good soy milk could taste and how soy milk in Taiwan was different from that in Singapore.

Fu Hang is known for its long, snaking queues which can be so long they wrap round the building so we decided to head there really early, reaching there at 6.30am to a 1 hour long queue.

It is a stall in a food court, so the queue moves as fast as the stall can process orders. There are more than ample seating spaces so at least there are no worries if you'll get a seat!

The stall is an open concept, so all the workings are in full view of those queuing.

There are many things on the menu, but the main thing is obviously the soy milk. One item which is common in Taiwan but not in Singapore is the salty soy milk.

Soy Milk, Salty Soy Milk and other items

We were very curious what it tastes like before visiting so I'll attempt to describe it here - imagine soy milk with a little egg white, steamed to the texture of steamed eggs with abit of soya sauce. It is a love it or hate it thing, and I kinda like it.

The soy milk was very very clean. You know how most soy milks have this unpleasant lingering aftertaste? This has none of that.

Fu Hang is something worth queuing for if soy milk is your thing. It is a very good soy milk, but don't come here expecting anything super mindblowing. It makes for a very good start to the day though!
