Rosewood Hong Kong is one of the city's ultra-luxury properties, marking Rosewood's return to the owning family's roots in spectacular fashion.

The building it occupies is easily the crown jewel of the Victoria Dockside complex, with Rosewood Hotel occupying the top 43 floors of the building.

The basic room size starts at 53 sqm, one of the more spacious ones in the city - though the honour of the biggest entry level room size would go to Upper House. As tempting as Upper House looks, the lack of a dedicated club lounge and a swimming pool has got me leaning towards Rosewood again for the return trip to Hong Kong later this year.

Arrival at the Hotel

The hotel has a very discreet entrance, one that we took 15 minutes to find after taking the MTR there (not the usual demographic I know HAHA). After finding the entrance we managed to find the lobby fairly quickly.

After approaching the front desk, they quickly realised that we were booked in a suite, and promptly escorted us to the Manor Club, a dedicated space for Club room and Suites guests. While checking in, we had food provided by the Manor Club which were excellent. Will elaborate

It was at this point where I first encountered the small touches that made Rosewood special - usually when checking in and food is brought, they would immediately escort you to your room after the check-in was done. This made the food feel like a formality - and what a waste to just leave it there or quickly scoff it down! At Rosewood, they simply said, we will be back shortly to escort you to your room. A small change, but a world of difference from the guest's perspective. It is clear that you are a guest in their house and they are determined to look after you - not simply another room number to 'settle'.

The Room

We initially booked an entry level suite, the Kowloon Peak View Suite, but thanks to the perks by our wonderful travel concierge and the generosity of the hotel, managed to score an upgrade to a suite FOUR categories above our initial booking - landing us with the Grand Harbour Corner Suite measuring a whopping 123 sqm with magnificent views of Victoria Harbour.

As with all suites, there are separate areas for the living room and the bedroom, each generously portioned.

Rosewood is the only hotel I've seen so far with twin showers. Usually its just twin vanities, but they took it one step further.

Upon entering the room, we were greeted with a lovely setup of champagne and a nice pastry from the most excellent Butterfly Patisserie.

We spent a short while in the hotel and after realising we had to tour Hong Kong too we left.

In the evening when we returned, there was a lovely box of chocolates placed on the table as part of the turndown service.

The room had fantastic hardware, absolutely nothing to complain about. The bed was super comfortable as well, as expected from a top hotel.

The Restaurants

Of all the restaurants, we only managed to try CHAAT (reviewed separately), Holt's Cafe (as part of breakfast) and The Manor Club, if it is considered a restaurant. How the Manor Club works is they showcase one dish from each of their restaurants daily with a bunch of standard fare, so it isn't really a restaurant on its own per se.

The quality of food all round is really high, the food and the Manor Club and Holt's Cafe at breakfast is largely similar.

Convenience

Rosewood Hong Kong is conveniently connected to the East Tsim Sha Tsui station. Get off the correct exit (just follow signs) and there is a connecting walkway from the K11 Mall to the hotel. A little hard to find, but alright once you get the hang of it.

Facilities

Rosewood has the most amazing infinity pool, overlooking Victoria Harbour.

I am not someone who swims alot (or at all), but I visited the pool on all the mornings I was there. It was that irresistable.

The pool offers sunbeds to lounge around, and perhaps because it was a little chilly we didn't really experience the problem of overcrowding as mentioned in other reviews.

Aside from the pool, there is also a well-stocked gym.

The Manor Club

The Manor Club is the club lounge reserved for guests with club rooms or staying in suites. It serves as a place which offers all-day dining, from breakfast in the morning to evening cocktails and even dinner.

Each day, they feature a signature dish from one of their restaurants, alongside a list of standard fare.

In the evenings, cocktails are offered at the bar in the manor club. Free flow, all you can drink. All included in the room rate.

While the idea of a club lounge is not new, the Manor Club really stands out with amazing service, crazy views over one of Asia's most spectacular skylines and amazing food. When visiting Rosewood, the Manor Club is absolutely worth the upgrade.

In the mornings, you may choose to have breakfast here instead of Holt's Cafe, and we chose to do so 2 of the 3 mornings. This is a 413-key hotel, the added privacy and service at breakfast is very much appreciated at such a huge hotel.

Overall, Rosewood Hong Kong was an amazing stay. Will be returning in Dec 2026, looking forward to the next stay!
